As I said in a previous post I have been going through all my bookmarks and having a thorough clean out.
I have become a convert with my bookmarking habits and now tend to use the online community bookmarking services at Furl.net and Spurl.net Both of these services enable you to bookmark your favourite websites on their servers and consequently you should never lose them and can access them from anywhere. The additional benefit is that they can contribute to an increase in your own blog or website traffic if you make them available to other users of the services. Neat.
During the cleanup operation I came across a promising looking site from the Netherlands called Seesle.com who offer the option for artists to display up to ten pieces for free in their own hosted gallery. The site is very well laid out and although some of the submission help is not in English the whole thing is fairly intuitive. I’ve decided to give Seesle a try. The site looks good and they do not charge commissions on your sales. On the face of it, that’s a very good offer for any artist and particularly those of you on a tight budget.
I will keep you posted on here about how much success and traffic it generates. If you decide to try it for yourself, let us know how you get on.
